Dena L. Mathis

Having owned a small business herself, Dena is uniquely qualified to guide your enterprise through any legal rough waters you may encounter. Her goal is to build long-term relationships with clients through effective and efficient representation tailored to meet the goals of your business. Dena believes that if her clients win, we all win.

Dena began her career in 1986 as a “tall building lawyer” in downtown Dallas, but eventually realized that being in charge of her own destiny was of paramount importance. So, she founded her own small law firm, catering to the needs of businesses, large and small. Dena's practice took on an “out -house” in-house counsel feel, as she expanded her representation of businesses beyond litigation to contract drafting and review, employment disputes, litigation prevention, and policy formation and review.

Dena attended the University of Texas at Austin, graduating with a B.A. in 1983, with honors, and went on to receive her law degree from the same institution in 1986. Dena is licensed to practice in Texas (1986) and Oklahoma (2010). Dena lives in Dallas with her husband, son, one dog, two cats, two guinea pigs, one rabbit and multiple fish, and has been banned from the SPCA, as well as PetSmart on adoption days, by her husband.
